What You Need to Know
Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff on certain Canadian goods, prompting Canada to impose retaliatory tariffs of its own. This escalating trade dispute has created uncertainty for businesses operating across the border. Now, with a temporary 30-day pause in place, there is a short but valuable window to take strategic action.
This pause offers businesses the opportunity to move inventory into the U.S. before potential cost increases take effect. Given the unpredictable nature of trade policies, now is the time to plan ahead and ensure smooth cross-border operations.
